Learn Legionella Ready
A whole school put into Legionella Ready, film by film.
Eleven short films, 46 minutes in all, show Oakfield School being set up in the app: its floors and rooms, its plant, and every outlet connected. By the end you can do the same for your own building.
Oakfield School is invented. We made it up so that nothing in the films would have to be blurred or left out. Every room, pipe and tap is there to be seen.

Where this film is on the plan
Rooms in this film: 201, 202, 203, 204, 205.
Before you begin and what you’ll learn
The first floor is complete. We begin the second floor with the laboratory’s cold-only example.
- Connect the art sinks and remaining second-floor rooms.
- Record the first outside tap’s connection to the main.
- Apply that supply to the second tap and save the whole schematic.

Both lower floors and the first floor are now complete. This film finishes the second-floor rooms and the outside taps. We begin by returning to the science laboratory: its completed cold-only sink gives us the arrangement to reuse for the two art sinks upstairs.
The two art sinks have cold water only in this example. I use Laboratory sink one as the source and select both art sinks. The preview shows two cold connections from the school group. After applying, I open the art room to check both sinks.
The art preparation room has a utility sink that matches science preparation.
I reuse that hot-and-cold arrangement and check the copied room.
Staff room 203 is the last of our three matching staff rooms.
Its existing sink receives the copied cold and hot connections, which we can review in this room’s own diagram.
We now complete both second-floor washrooms.
Again, the preview matches six existing items in each room.
I apply the arrangement and inspect both results.
That completes every internal room containing outlets.
The outside taps use a different source. In this fictional arrangement they receive cold water directly from the incoming mains. I first record that connection for the garden tap. The internal school group is not used for these taps.
The service-yard tap shares the garden tap’s direct mains supply. I apply that cold connection to its existing record and check the result. Both outside taps are now included. We can save and reload the completed building before the final review.
All the rooms and both outside taps have now been connected. I save the whole schematic and reload it. The final review will use this saved version, so we can check what is actually in the building record.
Every room and both outside taps now have saved supply connections. Film Nine is the final review. We’ll open the saved rooms floor by floor and check the recorded routes back to their sources.
The school
We drew the school so the films can be followed.
Oakfield has a front, five floors and a code on every room. Each room in the films is on a plan, so you can see where you are before you press play.

Main entrance, teaching block, dining wing, sports hall and outside taps.
The same for your building
Your rooms, your equipment, your procedures, on film.
The Oakfield films were made by recording the app as the school was built. The same can be done for a real building once it is in Legionella Ready, so your staff learn on the rooms they actually walk through.
What you give us
- Your floor plans, or a walk round the building
- The name of every room with water in it
- The procedures your staff are expected to follow
What you get
- Your building set up in Legionella Ready, floor by floor
- Films of it being built, chapter by chapter, that your staff can return to
- A building record that already exists on the day you start
